Role Overview
The role leads Model-Based Systems Engineering strategy for the first-of-a-kind STEP commercial fusion power plant programme.
The postholder will act as the technical authority for MBSE capability across the organisation and its partners.
MBSE Strategy and Capability
- Define and communicate the MBSE vision, future state, and implementation roadmap.
- Own capability definition across people, processes, tools, competency frameworks, role profiles, and training pathways.
- Establish requirements for MBSE toolchains and process development.
- Own and maintain reusable MBSE models, templates, lifecycle expectations, and quality criteria.
Implementation and Assurance
- Support delivery teams to embed MBSE into their plans and drive continuous improvement through lessons learned.
- Define and govern MBSE policies, standards, and conventions.
- Approve deviations, ensure compliance, and approve models for decision-making and programme assurance.
- Establish model quality criteria covering traceability, completeness, and usability.
