Mobile Equipment Operator - Offshore
Join offshore logistics operations on offshore islands in Abu Dhabi.
Report to the Lifting Engineer or Operations Supervisor within Logistics and Offshore Operations.
Key responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, backhoe loaders, front loaders, excavators, tractors, manlifts, and Bobcat skid steers.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and function tests.
- Maintain equipment within required inspection and servicing intervals.
- Operate equipment within manufacturer and design parameters.
- Assess load center and load balance before lifting.
- Use a Banksman or Signaler during obstructed-vision operations when required.
- Warn personnel about load movements and identify potential hazards.
- Check equipment controls and safety systems, report servicing needs, and follow manufacturer instructions.
- Use fire extinguishers and respond appropriately to emergencies.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age is stated in the source posting.
- Higher Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
- Valid UAE Driving License Category 8 / Heavy Tractor.
- Valid Banksman Signaler certification under the ADNOC Training Matrix.
- Relevant competency or training certificates for equipment operated.
- Forklift experience of at least 5 years, including 3 years in oil and gas.
- At least 1 year of oil and gas experience for manlift operation.
- Training may include forklift, excavator, telehandler, noise management, manual handling, radiation safety/NORM awareness, or compressed gas cylinder handling.
- Physical fitness with good eyesight, hearing, and reflexes.
- Strong knowledge of safe lifting, load handling, and offshore operations.
