Role Overview
Al Sahraa Group is hiring a Lifting Specialist (Appointed Person) for offshore oil and gas operations.
The role covers offshore and onshore lifting operations, critical lift planning, HSE, and coordination across multiple sites.
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering of at least three years or equivalent.
- At least seven years of lifting-related oil and gas experience, including five years in a similar Appointed Person role.
- Strong offshore and onshore lifting experience.
- Ability to prepare, review, supervise, and execute critical lift plans.
- Experience leading Crane Operators, Riggers, and Banksmen.
- Knowledge of international lifting standards and lifting engineering practices.
- Experience in change management and lifting operation planning.
- Ability to coordinate lifting activities across multiple sites or locations.
- Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Certifications and Preferred Experience
- Valid Appointed Person Certification from an ADNOC Offshore-approved training provider.
- Training in offshore or onshore crane operation planning.
- LEEA Entry Exam and Diplomas are an added advantage.
- ADNOC or offshore oil and gas experience is preferred.
- Experience with critical lifts and complex lifting operations is preferred.
- Strong understanding of lifting equipment and inspection requirements is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, supervise, and execute critical lift plans.
- Lead Crane Operators, Riggers, and Banksmen to ensure safe lifting operations.
- Plan and coordinate offshore and onshore lifting operations.
- Apply HSE requirements and safe lifting practices.
- Manage change and lifting operation planning.
- Coordinate and control lifting activities across multiple sites or locations.
