Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal components using appropriate tools and machinery
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and client requirements
- Operate and maintain metal working equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform finishing work such as sanding, polishing, and edge detailing
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and adherence to specifications
- Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
- Collaborate with production supervisors and other team members to meet project deadlines
- Report any defects, material shortages, or equipment issues to the supervisor
- Assist in training junior staff or new hires on fabrication techniques and safety practices
Requirements
- Furniture and joinery: 3 years (Required)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Experience with metal working tools and machinery
- Knowledge of finishing work such as sanding, polishing, and edge detailing
