Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for interior fit out projects
- Review design drawings and prepare MEP shop drawings and coordination layouts
- Conduct site inspections and monitor installation works
- Verify compliance with local codes and standards
- Resolve technical issues with project teams and subcontractors
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and suppliers
- Support approvals with relevant authorities
- Contribute to project planning, quality control, and handover documentation
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems
- Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for MEP design and coordination
- Solid knowledge of Plumbing and Plumbing Design
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering or related field
- Previous experience as MEP engineer/specialist in fit out or construction projects in UAE or GCC
- Familiarity with Dubai authorities' standards (DEWA, Civil Defense, Municipality)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work on site

Role Description
- This is a full time, on site MEP Specialist role based in Dubai.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for interior fit out projects across commercial, hospitality, residential, and public sectors.
- Review design drawings, prepare MEP shop drawings and coordination layouts, and ensure integration of MEP systems with architectural and interior design requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, monitor installation works, verify compliance with local codes and standards, and resolve technical issues with project teams and subcontractors.
- Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and suppliers, support approvals with relevant authorities, and contribute to project planning, quality control, and handover documentation.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including MEP Coordination for interior fit out projects.
- Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for MEP design, clash detection, and coordination with architectural and structural disciplines.
- Solid knowledge of Plumbing and Plumbing Design, including sizing, routing, materials selection, and compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or a related field) from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience as an MEP engineer/specialist in fit out or construction projects in the UAE or GCC is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Dubai authorities’ standards and approval processes (e.g., DEWA, Civil Defense, Municipality) is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and coordination layouts; strong attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in a fast paced project environment.
- Strong problem solving, site supervision, and time management abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines and quality targets.
- Ability to work at site.
