Position Overview
Oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design and site coordination.
Ensure MEP works comply with project requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate MEP design, engineering, and site activities.
- Review MEP drawings, specifications, calculations, shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and technical documents.
- Check mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and related systems for compliance and coordination.
- Identify design conflicts, technical issues, and discrepancies and recommend practical solutions.
- Coordinate MEP works with architects, structural engineers, contractors, consultants, and project teams.
- Monitor installation progress, workmanship, quality, and project schedules.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure installations follow approved drawings and specifications.
- Assist with testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover of MEP systems.
- Review variations, technical changes, and proposed design modifications.
- Maintain accurate design review, inspection, progress, and technical records.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Previous experience as an MEP Manager, MEP Engineer, MEP Design Reviewer, Building Services Engineer, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building services systems.
- Experience in MEP design review, coordination, construction, or project management.
- Ability to read and review MEP drawings, layouts, specifications, and technical documents.
- Good understanding of relevant building codes, standards, and safety requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, coordination, communication, leadership, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to manage multiple technical issues.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or a related engineering field.
- AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, or other MEP design software knowledge is advantageous.
- Professional certification or engineering registration is advantageous.
- Fluent English is required; additional languages are advantageous.
