Job Summary
The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) In-Charge is responsible for managing and overseeing all MEP activities within building construction projects.
This role involves planning, coordinating, and ensuring the proper installation, testing, and functioning of MEP systems.
The successful candidate ensures strict adherence to industry standards, safety protocols, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Ensure MEP work meets timelines and budget constraints.
- Work closely with civil and structural teams.
- Verify project drawings comply with MEP requirements.
- Monitor HVAC, fire protection, electrical distribution, water supply, and drainage.
- Track performance to ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess work and resolve issues.
- Align with architects, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Fix design clashes between MEP systems and building structures.
- Manage permits and inspections with external regulatory bodies.
- Ensure MEP systems meet performance and quality benchmarks.
- Maintain safety procedures across all MEP construction works.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8–9 years in the building construction industry.
- Minimum 5 years in an MEP supervisory or management role.
- Prior experience with contracting companies handling complex building projects is highly preferred.
- In-depth understanding of MEP systems, building codes, and regulations.
