Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, BOQs, and project requirements for MEP works.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for:
- o HVAC systems
- o Electrical systems
- o Plumbing and drainage systems
- o Fire fighting systems
- o Fire alarm systems
- o ELV systems
- o Ventilation systems
- Analyze material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and indirect costs for accurate project pricing.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare detailed commercial and technical tender submissions within project deadlines.
- Coordinate with:
- o Project managers
- o Engineers
- o Procurement department
- o Suppliers and subcontractors
- o Clients and consultants
- Review drawings and identify discrepancies, missing information, and coordination issues during tender stage.
- Assist in value engineering and cost-saving proposals.
- Prepare cost comparisons and technical clarifications for materials and equipment.
- Attend site visits, pre-tender meetings, and technical discussions when required.
- Prepare variation cost estimates and revised pricing during project execution.
- Maintain updated records of:
- o Material costs
- o Supplier pricing
- o Labor rates
- o Historical project data
- Ensure estimates comply with:
- o Project specifications
- o Client requirements
- o Local authority regulations
- o Company procedures
- Support management with budgeting, forecasting, and project cost analysis.
- Ensure confidentiality of all commercial and tender information.
