About the Role
SEHA is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist (UAE National only) to independently conduct laboratory procedures. Responsibilities include analyzing specimens, operating lab equipment, and ensuring quality control.

Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis of specimens to determine presence of normal and abnormal components
- Ensure data capture of lab results onto computer systems
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment
- Provide results to physicians as per defined SOP
- Evaluate collected laboratory data and prepare reports as per protocol
- Ensure equipment is used correctly and inform Supervisor of malfunction
- Perform on call and shift duties as assigned, including weekends and public holidays
- Promote and maintain quality in all services and ensure continuous quality improvement measures
- Comply with all safety, health and quality control programs and procedures
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
Requirements
- NLT 2 yrs experience in a clinical laboratory environment (with MSc NLT 1 year; without degree NLT 4 years)
- UAE National: upon completion of Internship
- Ability to conduct analysis of specimens and determine presence of normal and abnormal components
- Ability to operate, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment
- Knowledge of safety, health, and quality control programs

Job Description
- The role is responsible to independently conduct all laboratory procedures or under the supervision of seniors following operational rules and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Managerial: Supervising junior staff and ensuring their abidance to rules and policies.
- Maintaining sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment.
- Reporting shortage of materials to supervisor, ordering and approving replenishments.
- Technical: Conducting analysis of specimens to determine presence of normal and abnormal components.
- Ensuring data capture of lab results onto computer systems.
- Operating, calibrating and maintaining lab equipment.
- Providing results to physicians as per defined SOP.
- Evaluating collected laboratory data and prepare reports as per protocol.
- Ensuring equipment is used correctly and informing Supervisor of malfunction.
- Performing on call and shift duties as assigned, including weekends and public holidays.
- Quality & Safety: Promoting and maintaining quality in all services.
- Complying with all safety, health and quality control programs and procedures.
Qualifications
- Special Certificate: Required: NLT 2 yrs experience in a clinical laboratory environment with Msc NLT 1 years experience; NLT 4 yrs experience in a clinical laboratory environment; UAE National: upon completion of Internship.
