- Code inpatient/day case claims and coordinate with clinical team on queries
- Review and validate medical records for accuracy and completeness
- Provide feedback and training to clinical staff to improve documentation quality
- Assign correct ICD 10 CM, CPT, HCPCS, DRG, and other relevant codes
- Assist with external audits by coordinating with auditors
- Conduct regular internal audits to maintain compliance
- Collaborate with physicians to resolve discrepancies in clinical documentation
- Ensure coding compliance with Department of Health and Dubai Health Authority regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or relevant field
- Certified medical coder
- Minimum 2 years of experience from Abu Dhabi market
- Experience in inpatient and day case coding
- Coding Certification is required

- This position is responsible for reviewing coding of medical cases, handling claims submission to payers, and all revenue cycle or billing tasks assigned.
Responsibilities
- Coding inpatient/day case claims and coordinating with the clinical team on queries.
- Review and validate medical records for accuracy and completeness, ensuring no missing documentation.
- Provide feedback and training to clinical staff to improve documentation quality and reporting accuracy.
- Assign correct ICD 10 CM, CPT, HCPCS, DRG, and other relevant codes for diagnoses and procedures.
- Assist with external audits by coordinating with auditors and providing accurate records.
- Conduct regular internal audits to maintain compliance and improve documentation standards.
- Collaborate with physicians to clarify or resolve discrepancies in clinical documentation.
- Ensure coding compliance with Department of Health and Dubai Health Authority regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or any relevant field.
- Certified medical coder with minimum 2 Years of experience from Abu Dhabi market.
- Experience in inpatient and day case coding.
- Coding Certification is required.
