Role Overview
Biosytech Medical Laboratory is seeking a Medical Coder / Medical Insurance Approval Executive.
The role focuses on UAE healthcare insurance approvals and pre-authorizations.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of UAE healthcare insurance approval experience.
- Knowledge of major UAE insurers and third-party administrators, including Nextcare, NAS/Neuron, MedNet, Daman, Sukoon, and Al Madallah.
- Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, medical terminology, and medical necessity requirements.
- Experience with insurer portals and EMR/HIS systems.
- Understanding of DHA and UAE insurance guidelines, benefits, exclusions, copayments, and deductibles.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, email, and basic reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical coding certification such as CPC, CCS, or CCA is preferred.
- The experience section states that two years of UAE-based medical coding experience is required.
Approval and Coding Duties
- Handle pre-authorizations, approval follow-ups, modifications, and denial management.
- Use insurer portals and EMR/HIS systems for insurance approval workflows.
- Apply coding, medical terminology, and medical necessity requirements.
- Review benefits, exclusions, copayments, and deductibles under UAE insurance guidelines.
- Coordinate approval activities with relevant healthcare and insurance stakeholders.
Employment and Compensation
- Job type is full-time and permanent.
- Pay is stated as starting from AED 1 per month.
