About the Role
ACCEL Human Resource Consultants is hiring a Mechanical Technician for a dry process sand plant in Liwa, Abu Dhabi. The role involves preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards for oilfield service operations.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of crushers, screens, feeders, belt conveyors, rotary dryers, silos, and material handling systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions promptly
- Replace and repair components such as bearings, gearboxes, belts, couplings, shafts, and seals
- Carry out alignment, tensioning, and lubrication tasks
- Ensure high reliability of plant equipment by adhering to preventive maintenance schedules
- Assist in root cause analysis for recurring breakdowns and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in plant start up, shutdown, and commissioning activities
- Comply fully with UAE HSE regulations and company policies, including Permit to Work, Lock Out/Tag Out, and Confined Space Entry
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and daily reports
Requirements
- Diploma or ITI / Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 3–5 years of experience in dry sand processing plants, aggregate/quarry operations, or industrial/oilfield service environments
- Strong knowledge of conveyor systems, material handling equipment, crushers, vibrating screens, and dryers
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Hands on experience with mechanical tools and maintenance practices

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions promptly
- Replace and repair components such as bearings, gearboxes, belts, couplings, shafts, and seals
- Carry out alignment, tensioning, and lubrication tasks
- Ensure high reliability of plant equipment by adhering to preventive maintenance schedules
- Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities
- Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring breakdowns
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime
- Assist in plant start up, shutdown, and commissioning activities
- Coordinate with plant operators to maintain smooth and continuous production
- Support installation and upgrading of mechanical systems and equipment
- Comply fully with UAE HSE regulations and company policies
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or ITI / Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in dry sand processing plants, aggregate / quarry operations, or industrial or oilfield service environments
Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of conveyor systems and material handling equipment
- Crushers, vibrating screens, and dryers
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Hands on experience with mechanical tools and maintenance practices
Working Conditions
- Site based role in remote oilfield / industrial environment
- Exposure to dust, noise, and high temperatures
- Shift work including night shifts, overtime, and weekends as required
