About the Role
Egis is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Inspector to work in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The role inspects and monitors electrical works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, standards, and project quality requirements.
The position supports construction quality, identifies deficiencies, and ensures timely resolution of electrical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect electrical systems, installations, and equipment against contract documents, specifications, codes, and standards.
- Inspect electrical, ICT, and ELV systems, including MV/LV distribution, substations, structured cabling, CCTV, security, and fire alarm systems.
- Monitor street lighting, apron floodlighting, GPUs, AGL, SAS, and telecom infrastructure installation.
- Review work packs and validate test data against specified requirements and tolerances.
- Witness testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Verify installation methods, workmanship, materials, and compliance with quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health procedures.
- Review method statements, inspection and test plans, and material submittals.
- Raise non-conformance reports and monitor their resolution.
- Maintain inspection records, prepare reports, and report site progress and findings.
- Participate in coordination and progress meetings with contractors and stakeholders.
- Identify deficiencies, code violations, and potential safety hazards.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to improve electrical safety and efficiency.
What We Need
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical, ICT, and ELV inspection.
- Experience in infrastructure and hangar projects is preferred.
- Aviation project experience is preferred.
- Prior Project Management Consultant experience is highly desirable.
Work Setting
- The role is based in Riyadh and requires inspection and monitoring of work on project sites.
