Mechanical Inspector role at Bainona Engineering Consultancy
Responsibilities
- Carry out regular site inspections for mechanical works including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire-fighting and related building services
- Inspect completed works against approved shop drawings, method statements, material submittals and Inspection & Test Plans
- Review and respond to Inspection Requests and maintain proper inspection records
- Verify that materials delivered to site comply with approved material submittals and suppliers
- Monitor ongoing mechanical installations and identify defective, unauthorized or non-compliant works
- Report quality observations and support the issuance and closure of site memos and NCRs where required
- Coordinate mechanical installations with civil, architectural and electrical works to avoid interface issues
- Witness relevant testing and commissioning activities
- Assist the Mechanical Engineer in reviewing as-built information, site conditions and progress-related documentation
- Maintain photographic records and inspection documentation for site activities
- Monitor compliance with applicable site HSE requirements
- Support snagging, de-snagging and project handover activities
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Good knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire-fighting and associated mechanical services
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant GCC experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with an engineering consultancy in construction supervision
- Relevant experience on Residential Building projects
