Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Carry out civil and structural inspections with the Civil Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer.
• Inspect work against approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and Inspection & Test Plans.
• Inspect reinforcement, formwork, concrete, waterproofing, masonry, and other civil activities.
• Verify materials against approved submittals and support sampling and testing.
• Witness concrete pouring and required tests and record inspection information.
• Monitor defects, poor workmanship, unauthorized work, and deviations.
• Maintain inspection records, photographs, executed-item records, and daily observations.
• Report non-conformities and support follow-up until closure.
• Monitor site safety compliance and report unsafe conditions.
• Support snagging, de-snagging, completion inspections, and handover records.
• Provide technical input and field verification to support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Previous civil or building inspection experience on construction projects.
• Ability to identify non-compliant work, maintain records, and communicate observations clearly.
• At least seven years of relevant professional experience.
• At least two years of relevant GCC experience.
• Consultancy or supervision experience is preferred.
