Electrical Inspector

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out regular site inspections for electrical works in accordance with approved shop drawings, materials, method statements and ITPs.
• Inspect power, lighting, containment, cabling, earthing, ELV and related electrical installations as assigned.
• Verify electrical materials delivered to site against approved material submittals and suppliers.
• Process/maintain inspection request records and document site observations and inspection results.
• Monitor work in progress for unauthorized, defective or non-compliant installations and report concerns promptly.
• Take and maintain photographic records of construction activities and progress.
• Support issuance and follow-up of site memos/NCRs for unacceptable electrical work practices where instructed.
• Coordinate electrical site interfaces with civil, architectural and mechanical works and report clashes or access issues.
• Assist the Electrical Engineer with field verification for drawings, as-builts and progress assessments.
• Witness relevant electrical testing and commissioning activities and record observations/results.
• Monitor compliance with applicable site HSE requirements during electrical activities.

Key Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in the relevant engineering discipline or equivalent technical qualification.
• Ability to identify non-compliant work, maintain inspection records and communicate site observations clearly.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant GCC experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with an engineering consultancy in construction supervision.
• Relevant experience on residential building projects.
• Working knowledge of Electrical Inspector.
