Position Specification
The position is in the Maintenance Division and Mechanical Section and reports to the Lead Mechanical Engineer.
The Mechanical Engineer supervises maintenance technicians and support staff at a power and desalination plant.
The role supports plant safety, environmental, availability, reliability, efficiency, and budget targets.
Qualifications and Experience
- A B.E. or above qualification is specified.
- The external hiring criteria specify three to five years of experience at the same position in a similar technology power plant.
- The role includes responsibility for supervising technicians and contractors and supporting 24-hour operations.
Safety at Work
- Ensure compliance with the integrated management system and a safe working environment for employees and contractors.
- Obtain Permits to Work and ensure method statements, work instructions, and procedures are followed.
- Supervise technicians and contractors on safety rules and HSE procedures and report unsafe conditions.
