Role Summary
The Business Development Manager leads business development projects across gas and water desalination assets under the Senior Business Development Manager MENA.
The role develops new projects, manages partnerships, and oversees the process from initial prospecting to final commitment.
The position reports to the Head of Business Development MENA and is based in Dubai.
Key Accountabilities
- Identify, evaluate, develop, and execute new business development opportunities.
- Assess project financial viability and risks and manage risk analysis for decision-making.
- Prepare projects for investment committee review, including structure, risk mitigation, and approval materials.
- Perform look-back evaluations on past projects.
- Lead divestments, IPOs, sell-downs, and asset rotation plans.
- Develop plans aligned with financial objectives and identify development priorities.
- Lead cross-functional teams to launch and advance project opportunities.
- Coordinate legal, engineering, construction, commercial, and operations functions from inception into operation.
- Program-manage multiple initiatives.
- Analyze technical configurations and select suitable contractors.
- Support EPC negotiations, project financing, project structuring, market analysis, and financial model inputs.
