About the Role
NAKILAT is seeking a Marine Personnel Recruitment Specialist to drive the recruitment of Engine Officers and Ratings for its fleet. The role involves managing the full recruitment cycle, technical assessments, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities
- Manage and plan all identification, interviewing technical assessment, and hiring activities for Engine Officers and Ratings
- Act as a focal point for Engine recruitment services and competitor benchmarking
- Develop and maintain cost effective sourcing solutions for Engine officers and ratings
- Work closely with Marine Personnel Operations for effective handover of Engine officers to vessels
- Maintain, review, and update personnel systems for contract authorizations and recruitment documentation
- Build and maintain relationships with manning agencies and global skill pool managers
- Analyze Engine recruitment and attrition data for forecasting and management reporting
- Monitor the entire Engine recruitment pipeline and implement process improvements
- Manage contracts related to Engine recruitment activities
- Monitor Engine recruitment expenditure and identify cost saving opportunities
- Ensure all Engine recruitment processes comply with legal, tax, regulatory, and company requirements
- Act as the focal point for the Nakilat Engine Cadet Program
Requirements
- Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) Regulation A III/2 Certificate of Competency (2nd Engineer license)
- A minimum of 36 months sailing experience as an Engineer on board Gas or large oil tankers
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel
- Hands on experience with marine crewing and recruitment software systems
- Good understanding of Engineer officers’ certification, competency requirements, and regulatory considerations

Job Summary and Purpose
- Drive the identification, interviewing technical assessment, and hiring of the highest quality candidates to the front line business.
- Ensure sufficient levels of suitability and experienced Engine Officers and Ratings to man the Fleet.
- Contribute to the future development of the business by creating, managing and constantly improving a resourcing program.
Key Accountabilities Recruitment
- Manage and plan all identification, interviewing technical assessment, and hiring activities for Engine Officers and Ratings.
- Act as a focal point for Engine recruitment services and competitor benchmarking.
- Develop and maintain cost effective sourcing solutions for Engine officers and ratings.
- Work closely with Marine Personnel Operations for effective handover of Engine officers to vessels.
- Remain up to date with new regulations, legislation, and country specific restrictions.
- Maintain, review, and update personnel systems for contract authorizations and recruitment documentation.
- Build and maintain relationships with manning agencies and global skill pool managers.
- Analyze Engine recruitment and attrition data for forecasting and management reporting.
- Monitor the entire Engine recruitment pipeline and implement process improvements.
- Liaise with venues and administer event contracts for Engine induction courses and recruitment activities.
- Manage and maintain all contracts related to Engine recruitment activities.
- Monitor Engine recruitment expenditure and identify cost saving opportunities.
Qualifications, Experience and Job Skills
- STCW Regulation A III/2 Certificate of Competency (2nd Engineer license).
- Minimum 36 months sailing experience as an Engineer on board Gas or large oil tankers.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
