About the Role

Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities for mechanical systems onboard new build vessels
- Ensure all mechanical equipment and systems are tested, commissioned, and handed over in compliance with project specifications, ABS/DNV class requirements, client standards, and safety regulations
- Report commissioning progress, system status, and technical issues to the Commissioning Manager
- Prepare commissioning documentation, test records, punch lists, and completion reports
- Participate in commissioning coordination meetings, toolbox talks, HAT, and Sea Trials
- Coordinate with shipyard teams, engineering departments, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives throughout construction and vessel delivery phases
Requirements
- Experience in mechanical systems commissioning in marine, shipbuilding, offshore, or related industries
- Technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Experience in HAT & Sea Trial execution
- Project coordination and progress reporting skills
- Vendor and subcontractor management experience
- Strong understanding of marine safety standards and commissioning procedures
- Knowledge of ABS and/or DNV class requirements
- Excellent communication, documentation, and team coordination skills

Job Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join our commissioning team and play a key role in the successful delivery of new build marine vessels.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities for mechanical systems onboard new build vessels.
- Ensure all mechanical equipment and systems are tested, commissioned, and handed over in compliance with project specifications, ABS/DNV class requirements, client standards, and safety regulations.
