About the Role
AD Ports Group seeks a Manager - Stakeholder Engagement to drive progress in engineering, execution, and handover phases of the CAPEX programme. The role manages stakeholder relationships with statutory authorities, defines requirements, and directs consultants and contractors to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities
- Manage stakeholder relationships with all statutory authorities (ADDC Power, ADDC water, ADCD, ADMCC, ADM…)
- Define requirements to meet all authorities’ regulations and requirements
- Direct consultants and contractors to comply with those regulations and requirements
- Provide mitigation measure in case of violations to those regulations and requirements by consultants / contractors applying engineering logic, existing relationships and diplomacy
- Act as the focal point for strategic communication with all national governmental departments and institutions related to the delivery of the programme
- Develop and implement key service level agreements with stakeholders for delivery of stakeholder services delivered across the portfolio
- Enforce and implement communication and engagement plans for all stakeholders
- Provide support and guidance to programme and project delivery teams with regards to stakeholder engagement, approvals, and requirements
- Build stakeholder’s strategies and initiatives to implement plans and enhance workflow
- Maintain an up to date stakeholder’s database and direct accurate details
- Benchmark market best practices and industry trends regarding stakeholder relationship
- Prepare and deliver reports to the management reflecting the current activities of stakeholders and opportunities for improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or a related field
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role of which at least 5 years stakeholder management exposure with Abu Dhabi Authorities
- Extensive experience in engineering and construction projects, preferably with extensive contractor experience
- 7 years in a senior management position
- Preferably have work in both construction and consultancy organisations
- Experience in project management including the ability to plan, execute and oversee projects from concept to implementation
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- A strategic mindset with the ability to align initiatives with the organization’s long term goals and vision
- Demonstrated success in driving strategic initiatives that result in business growth
- Excellent English. Arabic is an added advantage

Job Description
- Key managerial duties within the programme to drive progress in engineering, execution and handover phases of the CAPEX programme of ECFZ Cluster, which has an anticipated annual earned value component of at least 1 billion AED.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with all statutory authorities (ADDC Power, ADDC water, ADCD, ADMCC, ADM…);
- Define requirements to meet all authorities’ regulations and requirements;
- Direct consultants and contractors to comply with those regulations and requirements, and;
- Provide mitigation measure in case of violations to those regulations and requirements by consultants / contractors applying engineering logic, existing relationships and diplomacy.
Core Responsibilities

People Management Responsibilities
- Obtain regular feedback through surveys and other forums on portfolio performance from stakeholders and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead awareness campaigns, training, and other events for both internal and external parties on the requirements of stakeholders across the entire programme.
- Arrange and facilitate regular stakeholder forums, meetings, and other events to obtain and provide feedback on the performance of the portfolio.
- Direct all departments within Ports & Maritime Programme Delivery to the correct Authorities procedures from the project start to avoid any non compliance during the construction.
- Follow up the NOC with all stakeholders with direct communication to facilitate obtaining the same efficiently.
- Follow up all stakeholders’ inspections and interfere to facilitate the same when any deviations from their procedures are observed to minimize the cost and time.
- Follow up the utility connection for the projects and negotiate their procedures to minimize cost and time required.
- Follow up the Building Completion Certificate applications with all stakeholders including final inspections.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Support in the development and continuous improvement of departmental working practices.
- Identify and support improvement initiatives.
- Maintain good relationships with all stakeholders personnel to ensure some flexibility and practical application of their procedures on our projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Excellent English. Arabic is an added advantage.
