WithumSmith+Brown is seeking an experienced manager for real estate valuation work.
The role primarily focuses on real estate valuation and includes tangible asset valuation assignments for up to 33% of the role.
Responsibilities
- Assist audit, tax, and advisory teams in defining scopes of work for real estate valuation engagements.
- Analyze property physical and financial characteristics and conduct site visits.
- Research real estate markets, economics, public records, and sale and lease data.
- Perform independent real property appraisals for estate, lending, litigation, financial reporting, and other purposes.
- Review third-party appraisals and independently validate valuation inputs and conclusions for audit teams.
- Support business development, client management, project management, and professional events.
- Supervise junior or trainee-level staff when required.
Requirements
- Commerce graduate or postgraduate qualification.
- 7–10 years of experience in US real estate valuations.
- Ability to commute to the employer’s office locations.
- Excellent interpersonal and computer skills.
- Progress toward an industry-recognized real estate or machinery and equipment valuation designation is preferred.
- Excel, Word, and Adobe proficiency are required; Argus familiarity is a plus but not required.
