About the Role
AD Ports Group is seeking a Manager Grains Handling Projects to plan, scope, and manage grain handling projects from an operations perspective. The role involves leading conceptual design, preparing investment cases, ensuring operations alignment, and managing project progress.

Responsibilities
- Preparing development plans for marine grain handling facilities, including interface with customer facilities
- Lead conceptual design exercise for the terminal, including detailed layout, equipment specifications, and performance standards
- Prepare investment cases in accordance with the organizational policy, detailing the inputs and assumptions, identifying the opportunities for value engineering with focus on achieving organization’s targets for commercial returns
- Support Equipment engineering team in vendor identification and equipment selection
- Ensure operations alignment between handling equipment, conveyor systems and receiving system at stockpile or storage silos
- Conduct thorough quality control of work, including budget management, schedule adherence, personnel performance, and provide regular project status updates
- Monitor project progress and resolve any challenges or delays
- Engage regularly with clients to understand their specific requirements and develop plans to deliver customer requirements
- Work closely with the commercial and business development teams to provide technical support and assistance
- Develop terminal operating processes in compliance with relevant codes and standards
- Support equipment engineering team in establishing equipment inspection and maintenance regimes
- Promote a safe working environment in accordance with AD Ports applicable HSE Management System, Standard Operation Procedure and Work Instructions
Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in operating marine grain terminal
- P&L responsibility for marine grain terminal of at least 3 years
- Demonstrate operation knowledge of grains handling systems
- Experience of automated grain handling systems and equipment will be preferred
- Expertise using Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of ISO and IMO standards
- Excellent communication skills, facilitation, and influencing/negotiating skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team oriented environment

Job Purpose
- The Manager Grains Handling Projects is responsible for planning, scoping and managing the Grains handling projects from operations perspective. The role will over oversee various project and technical aspects of the initiative, working closely with the relevant commercial, operations and HSE teams.
