Manager - Procurement Excellence & Vendor Management

Role Purpose

Procurement Responsibilities

• Communicate new procurement policies, guidelines, and processes to all levels of the procurement organization and stakeholders.
• Educate and train procurement employees on new tools, processes, and systems.
• Drive purchase-to-pay digitalization across Milaha in alignment with IT and Finance.
• Establish spend and performance management and report progress, achievements, and deviations.
• Improve purchasing performance and coordinate self-audit protocols.
• Discuss demand and spend analytics by department and business unit with senior leadership.
• Project manage assigned resources on procurement initiatives.

Vendor Management

• Inform vendors about their performance and support non-performing vendors to increase performance and reliability.
• Communicate expectations and standards for supplier quality, delivery, compliance, and collaboration.

Communication Scope

• Internal stakeholders include the VP of Procurement and Contracting, procurement teams, and senior management.
• External communication is with Milaha vendors.

Health and Safety

• Maintain safe workplaces, safe systems of work, safe plant and equipment, and appropriate information and training.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe methods and systems of work are implemented.
• Ensure employees and contractors under the role’s control are competent to perform their duties.
• Ensure accidents, incidents, and near misses are reported and investigated.
• Promote positive occupational health and safety behavior and stop work when conditions are unsafe.

Requirements

• Drive procurement best-practice initiatives and act as a change agent across the procurement organization.
• Coordinate with top management, IT, Finance, procurement teams, business partners, and vendors.
• Manage assigned resources and procurement improvement initiatives.
• Communicate new procurement policies, guidelines, and processes to stakeholders at all levels.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safe systems of work within the department.
• Ensure employees and contractors under the role’s control are competent to perform their duties.
