Purpose
Report on Milaha HSEQ service delivery, site-level HSEQ assurance, compliance evaluation, and progress on assigned HSEQ tasks.
Facilitate delegated site training and direct operational management responses to high-risk activities.
Provide multidisciplinary technical advice to achieve and maintain regulatory compliance.
Internal Communication
Communicate with the Safety Manager, Business Unit Managers, and subordinate health and safety resources.
External Communication
Communicate with clients, contractors, and external certification bodies.
Act as the primary site contact for functional subject-matter expertise and contractor-management operations.
Occupational Health and Safety and Environment
- Ensure a safe workplace, safe systems of work, safe plant and equipment, and adequate information and training.
- Conduct risk assessments on departmental activities and ensure safe work methods and systems are implemented.
- Ensure employees and contractors under control are competent to undertake their duties.
- Ensure accidents, incidents, and near misses are reported and investigated.
- Promote safe behaviours and set a personal example in occupational health and safety matters.
Authority
- Managers and supervisors have the authority to stop work when health and safety is unsafe or compromised.
Requirements
- Be able to conduct risk assessments and ensure safe systems of work are implemented.
- Be able to ensure employees and contractors under their control are competent to perform their duties.
- Be able to report and investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Be able to provide multidisciplinary technical advice supporting regulatory compliance.
