Job Scope

We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven professional to lead the Market Intelligence & Insights function within the Strategy team.

This role will be responsible for delivering evidence-based research, customer insights, and market intelligence to support commercial decision-making and long-term growth strategies.

The successful candidate will lead in-depth analysis across source markets, customer behaviour, industry trends, and the competitive landscape, translating complex data into actionable executive-level insights that influence strategic direction and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive primary and secondary research programmes across existing and emerging markets, including customer trends, spend patterns, travel motivations, booking behaviours, and competitive positioning.
  • Monitor macroeconomic, geopolitical, demographic, and industry trends to identify opportunities and potential risks.
  • Develop and maintain a structured market intelligence framework to support commercial planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Build and manage relationships with aviation partners, trade organisations, research agencies, and external data providers.
  • Design and execute qualitative and quantitative customer research initiatives to understand customer needs, preferences, satisfaction drivers, and behavioural trends.
  • Develop customer segmentation models to support product development, pricing, marketing, and commercial strategies.
  • Analyse complex datasets across market research, CRM, digital platforms, hospitality, ticketing, and other business systems to identify meaningful trends and opportunities.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, reporting frameworks, forecasts, and executive-level presentations to support leadership decision-making.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and market forecasts to support annual planning cycles and commercial strategy development.
  • Partner closely with Commercial, Marketing, Product, Finance, Digital, and Analytics teams to embed market intelligence into business planning and investment decisions.
  • Represent the organisation at industry forums, intelligence networks, and research conferences.

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 8–10+ years of progressive experience in market research, customer insights, competitive intelligence, or strategic analytics.
  • Proven experience managing market intelligence or insights initiatives within a complex, multi-stakeholder organisation.
  • Strong experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies across multiple geographies and markets.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data analytics, reporting, forecasting, and translating insights into commercial strategies.
  • Experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and external vendor management experience.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree (MBA or MSc in a relevant field).
  • Experience within hospitality, entertainment, leisure, or large-scale consumer-focused industries.
  • Professional certifications in Market Research, Data Analytics, or Business Intelligence.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SPSS, Python, R, Google Analytics, and advanced Excel analytics.
  • Arabic or additional language capabilities relevant to international markets.
