Role overview
AltaLink is hiring a Manager, IS Program Delivery within its Security & Information Services Department.
The position delivers a large, complex program composed of multiple S&IS projects and reports to the Director, S&IS Capital Project Delivery or delegate.
The role is full-time and based out of the Calgary office.
Responsibilities
- Manage simultaneous IT projects valued at CAD 5 million or more from initiation through closure.
- Manage programs, including scope, schedules, budgets, quality, resources, risks, and change management.
- Communicate with project teams, consultants, sponsors, stakeholders, vendors, and management.
- Report project status, finances, schedules, and risks to sponsors, stakeholders, and management.
- Develop project documentation in accordance with IT project, PMI, SDLC, audit, and Bill 198 requirements.
- Assist and mentor junior project managers and assign work to staff.
- Develop organizational change-management strategies for IT and individual projects.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
- At least 10 years of IT operations experience focused on databases, programming, web development, or integration.
