Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to grow institutional and retail investor participation
- Build and manage relationships with institutional investors, brokers, market makers, custodians, asset managers, and other market participants
- Identify and secure new business opportunities that increase trading activity and support revenue growth
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by promoting the organisation's products, services, and market initiatives
- Lead investor engagement activities including conferences, roadshows, networking events, and client meetings
- Gather market intelligence and client feedback to support product development and improve the overall investor experience
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including Product, Marketing, Compliance, and Senior Leadership to deliver commercial objectives
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and investor behaviour to identify new growth opportunities
- Track commercial performance against KPIs including investor acquisition, client engagement, and revenue generation
Requirements
- 10+ years' experience in Business Development, Institutional Sales, Relationship Management, or Capital Markets
- Experience gained within a stock exchange, brokerage, investment bank, asset manager, financial markets infrastructure provider, or related financial services organisation
- Strong understanding of capital markets, institutional investors, brokers, custodians, and market participants
- Proven track record of generating new business, growing client relationships, and achieving commercial targets
- Existing network across the UAE/GCC financial services and capital markets community is highly advantageous
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline (MBA preferred)
- Fluency in Arabic & English

Role Overview
- This role is based in Abu Dhabi and requires you to be on office 5 days a week

- Experience working with institutional investors, hedge funds, family offices, asset managers, or sovereign wealth funds
- Knowledge of exchange products, trading platforms, market data, or capital markets technology
- Experience engaging with listed companies, IPOs, or broader market development initiatives
- Professional qualifications such as CFA, CISI, or equivalent
