Responsibilities
- Manage implementation of the three year and annual audit plan
- Assess effectiveness of internal controls related to IT systems, including security measures for traditional and cloud based environments
- Steer internal audit activities covering IT Infrastructure, application controls, database management, cloud environment, and information security operations
- Oversee development of audit reports with comprehensive observations and value adding recommendations
- Monitor implementation of corrective actions for audit irregularities
- Analyze risks of emerging technologies (AI, Blockchain, IoT) and produce RACI matrices
- Perform technical reviews including cyber, website, mobile apps, RPA, and code reviews
- Ensure safeguarding of cyber and physical assets through control assessments
Requirements
- 8 to 12 years of internal and/or external audit experience
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, cyber security, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as CISA or CISSP
- Strong understanding of IT systems, cloud computing, and cyber security principles
- Experience in conducting security audits and risk assessments
- Knowledge of UAE Personal Data Protection Law and GDPR
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with data analytics tools like Power BI or Tableau

Role Overview
- Manager Internal Audit, Information Technology, reporting to the Associate Director Technology Audit.
- Provide independent assurance on corporate governance, risk management, and internal controls including security controls.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage implementation of the three year and annual audit plan.
- Collaborate with process owners to develop corrective action plans.
- Assess effectiveness of internal controls for IT systems including cloud environments.
- Review design and implementation of information systems and security features.
- Steer internal audit activities for IT Infrastructure, application controls, database management, cloud, and information security.
- Oversee development of audit reports with comprehensive observations and recommendations.
- Identify continuous improvement initiatives for audit service.
- Monitor implementation of corrective actions.
- Analyze risks of emerging technology (AI, Blockchain, IoT) and produce RACI matrices.
- Perform technical reviews including cyber, website, mobile apps, RPA, and code reviews.
- Ensure safeguarding of cyber and physical assets.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, threats, and security best practices.
Who We Are Looking For
- 8 to 12 years of internal and/or external audit experience.
- Strong understanding of governance models, audit reporting best practice.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment and treatment.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, cloud computing, and cyber security principles.
- Experience in conducting security audits and risk assessments.
- Knowledge of UAE Personal Data Protection Law and GDPR.
- Capable to conduct regular security audits and recommend improvements.
- Continuous auditing using system generated evidence and maturity scoring.
- Strong inter personal skills.
- Good understanding of Information Security incident management.
- Strong understanding of Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
Education / Professional Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, cyber security, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CISA or CISSP.
Technical Competencies
- Internal audit methodology and IA reporting technology.
- Risk management and forensics.
- Secure network architecture and security testing.
- Data analysis and technical writing.
- Adequate knowledge of legal requirements within the UAE and international internal audit standards.
- Excellent service delivery and process management skills.
- Excellent analytical capabilities.
- Hands on experience in information security operation and cloud administration is a plus.
