About Emirates Global Aluminium
Emirates Global Aluminium is an integrated aluminium producer operating across bauxite mining, alumina refining, primary aluminium production, casting, and recycling.
The company operates facilities in the United Arab Emirates, Guinea, Germany, and the United States.
Job Purpose
Lead annual procurement planning for alloys, refractory, and relining materials required for plant operations.
Manage vendor relationships to secure optimal quality and cost-effective materials and services.
Support budget preparation and forecasting and provide supply inputs for corporate strategy.
Key Accountabilities
- Implement procurement policies, processes, and procedures and monitor adherence.
- Manage daily operations for the assigned materials department and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Review procurement needs, develop purchasing plans, and advise end users on availability, cost, quality, and timing.
- Oversee purchasing documentation and tender cycles and negotiate commercial terms with suppliers.
- Shortlist suppliers, recommend awards, and analyze market intelligence and spending for cost-saving opportunities.
