Job Purpose
Deliver effective and efficient risk-based authorisation for firms and entities seeking to provide financial services in or from the DIFC.
Apply the DFSA’s risk-based approach while balancing quality control, speed, and stakeholder experience.
New Applications
- Engage transparently with potential applicants and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assess applications, ownership fitness and propriety, business models, processes, risks, and proposed mitigants.
- Identify complex or unprecedented features and escalate matters that test existing definitions, policies, or risk tolerance.
- Recommend approval or refusal based on whether applicants meet DFSA minimum requirements.
- Hand over newly authorised firms to the Supervision Division in a clear and defined manner.
Key Projects
- Contribute to assigned policy, technology, or business process projects.
- Provide timely and accurate progress updates to the reporting manager or project sponsor.
- Clarify the relative prioritisation of project tasks and business-as-usual tasks.
