Key skills for this role
Unrestricted Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence)
Strong electrical fault-finding capability, including contactors, relays, sensors, and field devices
Experience programming and configuring:
VFDs / drives
Scanners
Electronic control modules
Proven ability to troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems
Solid understanding of industrial controls (PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, instrumentation)
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair both electrical and mechanical faults
Perform preventative maintenance and equipment audits
Hands-on mechanical skills, including:
Lubrication programs
Belt tracking
Replacing bearings, chains, belts, motors, and gearboxes
Experience maintaining mechanical and pneumatic systems
Proactively work to reduce downtime, waste, and improve equipment reliability
Identify improvement opportunities through:
Fault investigation
Root cause analysis
Support and participate in maintenance and improvement projects
Demonstrated problem-solving experience within an industrial maintenance environment
