Position Summary
Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues through clear communication with guests and customers.
Perform hands-on maintenance across hotel equipment, guestroom items, building systems, and landscaping systems.
Maintenance Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment.
- Inspect tools, equipment, and machines and operate equipment and building utility shut-off valves.
- Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts.
- Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, electronic, kitchen, and building systems.
- Complete painting, minor drywall and wood trim repairs, light bulb replacement, air-conditioning filter replacement, and repair-area cleanup.
- Repair guestroom items, electrical components, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, switches, outlets, and other equipment.
- Program televisions and perform housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
- Use Lockout/Tagout before maintenance work and repair landscaping systems and external sprinklers.
- Input air-handler schedules and make temperature changes using basic computer skills.
