Position Summary
Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues through communication with guests and customers.
Maintain hotel equipment, guestroom items, building utilities, and engineering-related facilities.
Maintenance Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment.
- Inspect tools, equipment, and machines, and operate equipment and building utility shut-off valves.
- Maintain inventory and requisition maintenance parts and supplies.
- Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, electronic, kitchen, guestroom, and internet-related equipment.
- Complete painting, surface preparation, minor drywall and wood trim repairs, light bulb replacement, air conditioner filter replacement, and cleanup.
- Program televisions, enter air handler schedules, make temperature changes, and complete engineering inventory duties.
- Repair interior and exterior landscaping and external landscaping sprinklers.
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.
Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting is preferred.
