Machine Operator

We are seeking a motivated Box Maker / Forklift Driver to join our Lindsay Rural team in Bundaberg on a Full-time basis.

This role would suit a mechanically minded person as you will also be maintaining the box machine. No prior experience is required - this is an opportunity to learn and start a career, keep our warehouse moving along.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Safe and appropriate operation of the Box Machine to produce cartons.

Pre-checks, manual configuration, ongoing maintenance & cleaning of the machine.

Quality checking of cartons and stack & store in appropriate manner.

Unloading/loading trucks with the forklift - if valid licence & experience held

General housekeeping of yard and warehouse

About you: The candidates we are looking for will have:

Current and valid Forklift ticket

Prior experience in a similar environment, use of Box Machine highly regarded but not essential

Mechanical background advantageous

Good attention to detail with a strong customer service focus.

Good work ethic, reliability and good communication skills

Able to take direction, work under pressure and to ever changing timelines

Have a commitment to workplace health and safety.

Pass a Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test

Be flexible and able to work over weekends as required

Able to work in and around chemical, fertilizer, nutrient and packaging
