Role Overview
Hands-on Logistics Operations and Business Development Specialist role focused primarily on Saudi Arabia, with coverage across the UAE and GCC.
The role combines port clearance, inland transportation, supplier management, pricing, and business development.
Location and Travel
- The role is based in Dubai, UAE.
- Frequent travel and short-term assignments to Saudi Arabia are required, including port visits and on-site operational coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage port clearance, customs, gate-out, and port-to-door delivery operations across KSA and UAE.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, trucking companies, and logistics vendors to ensure cargo delivery.
- Source and negotiate trucking, clearance, and destination logistics rates and maintain a supplier rate database.
- Handle trade documentation and clearance through FASAH, SABER, and Dubai Trade.
- Develop business with traders, contractors, forwarders, and other potential clients.
- Prepare competitive cost estimates and commercial quotations.
Requirements
- Bring 3–5 years of hands-on Middle East experience in freight forwarding, customs clearance, inland transport, or logistics.
- Have strong operational knowledge of KSA ports, particularly Dammam and Jeddah, and Saudi clearance and delivery procedures.
- Be familiar with FASAH, SABER, and Dubai Trade.
- An established KSA customs broker and trucking vendor network is highly advantageous.
- Have strong negotiation skills and a commercial or business development mindset.
- Be fluent in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
- Be willing to travel frequently and undertake short-term Saudi assignments.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or relevant diploma.
