Job Summary
Manage port transport operations, container tracking, and e-Token generation across major UAE ports.
The role requires hands-on experience with empty container movements, slot booking tokens, container turnarounds, and driver dispatch.
Port and Container Operations
- Generate, manage, and modify e-Tokens and port gate-pass slots through DP World, Dubai Trade, and relevant shipping line platforms.
- Coordinate empty container returns to off-dock yards, depots, or designated terminals and process EIRs.
- Verify gated-in container status and request pickup lists after shipping line releases are obtained.
- Prepare load lists before cutoff times and submit ED requests for approval.
Shipping Documentation
- Provide shipping instructions for Bills of Lading and request and verify draft Bills of Lading.
- Ensure Bills of Lading, EIRs, customs release forms, and shipping orders are aligned before port token bookings.
Dispatch and Tracking
- Plan truck dispatches from warehouses, yards, or factory sites to port terminals within vessel gate-open and cutoff windows.
- Track inbound and outbound containers, vessel ETAs, locations, free-time windows, and storage status.
- Monitor free days to avoid demurrage, detention, and ground-storage penalties.
- Communicate with drivers and transport providers, monitor vehicle movement, and resolve port delays or e-Token errors.
Requirements and Qualifications
- At least 4 to 5 years of hands-on logistics experience in UAE port operations, container trucking, or freight forwarding.
- Strong proficiency in UAE port booking and shipping line portals, including Dubai Trade, DP World, Maersk, MSC, CMA CGM, and Hapag-Lloyd.
- Deep understanding of UAE port gate-in and gate-out workflows, empty returns, EIR reconciliation, and port cutoff rules.
- Ability to handle portal errors, token rescheduling, driver gate rejections, and tight delivery timelines.
- Good English communication skills.
- Hindi, Urdu, or Arabic is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Excel for container status, free-days, and trip-log tracking.
