Role Description
The Logistics Director leads logistics strategy and operations across transportation, warehousing, distribution, and delivery.
The role focuses on efficiency, cost control, service quality, and supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee transportation, warehousing, distribution, and delivery operations.
- Monitor logistics costs, KPIs, service levels, and operational performance.
- Manage routes, schedules, fleet, shipments, and delivery activities.
- Oversee warehouse operations, inventory movement, and storage.
- Manage logistics providers, carriers, suppliers, and service partners.
- Negotiate transportation rates, contracts, and service agreements.
- Identify cost-saving and operational efficiency opportunities.
- Manage logistics risks, delays, and operational disruptions.
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, finance, operations, and supply chain teams.
- Ensure compliance with customs, transportation, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and develop logistics teams and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
