About the Role
Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) seeks a Litigation Senior Specialist to manage complex legal cases, draft legal documents, and represent the authority before judicial bodies.

Responsibilities
- Receive litigation cases from objections team and prioritize cases for analysis
- Research and analyze laws, regulations, and policies for proper case analysis
- Collect and sort litigation cases, coordinate with sectors to identify requirements
- Draft statements of claim, counterstatements, warning letters, and legal responses
- Assist in conducting studies for mitigation of recurrent infringements
- Conduct legal research using various resources
- Assist in representing ZATCA before judicial bodies, committees, and governmental authorities
- Prepare settlements to negotiate with employees and external entities
- Archive judgments from lawsuits won by ZATCA for future reference
- Train junior staff on job activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law Studies or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in litigation and broad taxation awareness

Purpose of Job
- Jobholders at this level are capable of operating with minimal supervision.
- They work within guidelines and procedures to prepare more complex, specialized or ad hoc reports.
- They undertake operational activities including assisting in the development of ZATCA’s litigation strategy.
Job Responsibilities
- Receive litigation cases from objections team and provide support to prioritize cases for analysis.
- Research and analyze laws, regulations and policies depending on each case for proper analysis.
- Collect and sort litigation and legal affairs cases and arrange coordination with sectors and divisions.
- Collect relevant documentation and arrange meetings with concerned entities.
- Draft statements of claim, counterstatements, warning letters and responses on legal matters.
- Assist in conducting necessary studies for the mitigation of recurrent infringements.
- Conduct legal research by utilizing various resources and selecting the relevant material.
- Assist in reviewing legal material and any other relevant documents.
- Assist in the representation of ZATCA in cases before judicial bodies, committees and governmental authorities.
- Prepare settlements to negotiate with employees and external entities involved in lawsuits.
- Archive all judgments from lawsuits won by ZATCA for future reference.
- Search for outsourced legal experts that can provide additional legal advice.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Law Studies, or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
