Role Overview
A hotel culinary team in Abu Dhabi is seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef.
The role requires strong pastry and bakery production knowledge, attention to detail, and a focus on high-quality desserts and baked products.
The position is full-time in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare pastries, cakes, desserts, breads, viennoiseries, and baked products according to hotel standards.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, texture, presentation, and portion control.
- Manage daily pastry production for outlets, banquets, events, and guest requirements.
- Develop and introduce new pastry and dessert items when required.
- Maintain food quality, hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards.
- Follow HACCP and hotel food safety procedures.
- Monitor ingredients, stock levels, storage, and FIFO rotation.
- Control food wastage and support food-cost management.
- Supervise, guide, and train junior pastry team members.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section and equipment.
- Coordinate with chefs and other kitchen departments.
- Support banquets, special events, promotions, and other hotel culinary requirements.
