About the Role
AMWAJ Group of Companies is seeking a Lifeguard for a full-time, on-site position in Qatar. The lifeguard will monitor pools and aquatic areas, ensure guest safety, perform rescues, and administer first aid.

Responsibilities
- Monitor pools and aquatic areas to ensure safety of guests and team members
- Prevent and respond to emergencies
- Supervise swimmers and enforce safety rules
- Perform water rescues when required
- Administer first aid and CPR in accordance with established protocols
- Inspect and maintain safety equipment
- Report hazards and support overall cleanliness and organization of pool areas
- Collaborate with other staff to uphold service and safety standards
Requirements
- Strong swimming abilities and demonstrated water safety skills
- Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized body
- Current first aid/CPR certification
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures and rescue techniques
- Good observation, communication, and conflict management skills
- Ability to remain alert for extended periods and work outdoors
- Previous experience as a lifeguard is an advantage
- Basic proficiency in English

Role Description
- Monitor pools and aquatic areas, ensuring the safety of guests and team members by preventing and responding to emergencies.
- Supervise swimmers, enforce safety rules, perform water rescues when required, and administer first aid and CPR.
- Inspect and maintain safety equipment, report hazards, and support overall cleanliness and organization of pool areas.
- Collaborate closely with other staff to uphold AMWAJ’s high standards of service, safety, and guest experience.
Qualifications
- Strong swimming abilities and demonstrated water safety skills appropriate for lifeguard duties.
- Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized body and current first aid/CPR certification.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures, rescue techniques, and safe operation of pool facilities.
- Good observation, communication, and conflict management skills to enforce rules respectfully and effectively.
- Ability to remain alert for extended periods, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and respond quickly under pressure.
- Previous experience as a lifeguard or in a similar safety focused role in hospitality or recreation environments is an advantage.
- Basic proficiency in English; additional language skills commonly used in Qatar are beneficial.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards, with a customer focused and team oriented mindset.
