Job Overview

- The Cook may also assist in menu planning, special events, and adapting dishes for dietary or cultural requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook, Chef Assistant, or similar role in catering, hospitality, or industrial kitchen environments.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, menu planning, and portion control, with a focus on quality and consistency.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and HSE practices, including safe handling, storage, and cleaning procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume kitchen, including effective time management, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Basic numeracy and record keeping skills for inventory, portioning, and kitchen documentation.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by catering operations.
- Vocational training or certification in culinary arts, professional cooking, or hospitality is preferred.
- Experience in large scale or contract catering, particularly in Oil & Gas or industrial sites, is an advantage.
- Ability to follow instructions, standard recipes, and safety procedures, and adapt to company policies and international standards.
