Role Overview

  • Responsible for overseeing all bakery operations
  • Designs and updates bakery menus and develops recipes
  • Ensures consistent quality and presentation of baked goods
  • Leads and trains the bakery team
  • Coordinates production schedules and manages daily activities
  • Ensures compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HSE standards
  • Works with procurement and inventory teams for cost control and waste reduction
  • Collaborates with other culinary and operations leaders for large scale catering

Qualifications

  • 5 years minimum as Executive Bakery Chef
  • Demonstrated experience in menu development, recipe standardization, and portion and cost control for high volume catering
  • Proven leadership in supervising, training, and motivating diverse culinary teams
  • Solid knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and HSE standards
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Relevant culinary or pastry qualification (Diploma or Degree)
  • Several years of experience in a senior bakery or pastry chef role; Gulf region experience an advantage
