Job Summary
Lifeguard role at a beachfront resort responsible for guest safety and well-being.
The role covers swimming pools, beach facilities, and other designated recreational areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor pools, beach areas, and recreational facilities and enforce safety rules.
- Identify hazards and unsafe behavior while maintaining constant vigilance.
- Respond to emergencies, accidents, and water-related incidents.
- Perform rescue and first-aid procedures when required.
- Check pool and surrounding areas for cleanliness, safety, and hazards.
- Report accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, and maintenance issues.
- Assist guests with safety queries and ensure rescue and first-aid equipment is available.
- Maintain incident and inspection records.
- Coordinate with other departments during emergencies and follow resort and UAE safety requirements.
Requirements
- Valid lifeguard certification.
- Valid first-aid and CPR certification.
- Previous lifeguard experience is preferred, particularly in a hotel, resort, pool, or beach environment.
- Strong swimming and water-rescue skills.
- Good knowledge of pool and beach safety procedures.
- Ability to remain calm during emergencies.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical fitness for extended outdoor work and availability for shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Customer-service orientation with a professional and approachable personality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Luxury hotel or beach resort experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic pool safety and water-quality procedures is an advantage.
- UAE experience and additional swimming or water-safety certifications are advantages.
