1. Commercial & Corporate Legal

• Draft, review, and negotiate:
• Commercial agreements
• Partnership agreements
• Vendor and supplier contracts
• SaaS and technology agreements
• Service agreements
• NDAs and licensing agreements
• Ensure legal protection while balancing business and operational goals
• Standardize legal templates and improve contract workflows

2. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

• Support and manage:
• M&A transactions
• Strategic acquisitions
• Joint ventures
• Investments and strategic partnerships
• Coordinate:
• Due diligence processes
• Data rooms
• Transaction documentation
• External legal advisors
• Assist leadership with:
• Deal structuring
• Risk analysis
• Negotiation support

3. Startup & Corporate Governance

• Support corporate governance and board-related matters
• Manage:
• Corporate documentation
• Shareholder agreements
• ESOPs and employee equity matters
• Entity structuring and registrations
• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions

4. Regulatory & Compliance

• Monitor and manage legal and regulatory requirements relevant to:
• AI and technology
• Fintech/remittance
• Consumer platforms
• Data privacy and cybersecurity
• Work closely with operations and product teams to ensure compliance frameworks are implemented
• Support licensing and regulatory applications where required

5. Data Privacy & Risk Management

• Advise on:
• Data privacy
• User terms and policies
• Risk management frameworks
• Review:
• Terms of service
• Privacy policies
• User agreements
• Ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations

6. Partnerships & Strategic Deals

• Support strategic partnerships with:
• Financial institutions
• Vendors
• Service providers
• Technology and AI partners
• Lead negotiations and legal structuring for strategic collaborations
• Identify legal risks and propose commercially practical solutions

7. Cross-Functional Legal Support

• Partner with:
• Product teams on feature launches
• Operations on vendor and customer matters
• Finance on fundraising and corporate structuring
• HR on employment and policy matters
• Provide practical legal guidance that enables fast execution

8. External Counsel & Stakeholder Management

• Manage relationships with external law firms and advisors
• Coordinate legal projects and ensure efficient legal spending
• Support investor and board communications where required

Experience

• 5–8+ years of legal experience
• Experience working in:
• Startups
• Technology companies
• High-growth environments
• Law firms with startup/M&A exposure
• Strong experience in:
• Commercial contracts
• Corporate law
• M&A transactions
• Strategic partnerships
