Job Purpose

The Manager – Legal is responsible for supporting the Head - Legal in managing and overseeing all legal, contractual, litigation, debt recovery, arbitration, governance, regulatory, shareholder and family legal matters of the Group within the UAE.

The role provides legal support to management, oversees the day-to-day operations of the Legal Department, manages departmental KPIs, supports Board governance activities, and safeguards the Group’s legal, financial and commercial interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head - Legal to oversee the full spectrum of legal and regulatory affairs across the Group.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on commercial, civil, labor, tenancy, arbitration and corporate matters.
  • Manage and supervise amicable and judicial debt recovery operations.
  • Monitor collections performance, recovery targets and legal escalation activities.
  • Manage litigation portfolios, commercial disputes, tenancy disputes and arbitration matters.
  • Coordinate with external law firms, legal consultants and governmental authorities.
  • Draft, review, negotiate and finalize commercial, distribution, service and corporate agreements.
  • Manage company incorporation procedures, corporate restructuring and amendments to constitutional documents.
  • Support Board of Directors activities including Board Resolutions, meeting minutes, governance documentation and General Assembly matters.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE laws, regulations and corporate governance standards.
  • Oversee legal operations, documentation management, legal reporting and departmental records.
  • Drive legal process improvements, digitization initiatives and legal analytics.
  • Manage family-related legal matters, estate administration, inheritance procedures, succession matters and property transfers.
  • Handle shareholder legal matters including share transfers, shareholder agreements, ownership restructuring, succession-related corporate matters and stakeholder rights protection.
  • Represent the Group’s interests in legal, financial, governance and regulatory discussions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent qualification.
  • Master’s Degree in Law or related specialization preferred.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in legal affairs, litigation, contracts, collections and governance.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE commercial, civil, labor, arbitration and corporate laws.
  • Extensive experience in debt recovery, litigation management and arbitration proceedings.
  • Experience in corporate structuring, company formation and shareholder matters.
  • Strong experience dealing with governmental authorities and external legal counsel.
  • Excellent legal drafting and contract negotiation skills.
  • High level of confidentiality, professionalism and integrity.

Language Requirements

Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken) is mandatory.
