Overview

  • We are currently seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our Corporate Legal Department as part of our continued business growth and operational development.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support to management and business units on corporate, commercial, employment, real estate, hospitality, travel, retail, and general business matters.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, agreements, MOUs, leases, service agreements, supplier contracts, partnership agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Ensure business activities, transactions, and practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Support the management of legal risks, disputes, claims, complaints, and litigation matters in coordination with external legal advisors when required.
  • Advise on employment related legal matters, including employment contracts, termination cases, disciplinary actions, settlements, and labour law compliance.
  • Assist with corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, shareholder documentation, company registrations, licenses, powers of attorney, and regulatory filings.
  • Conduct legal due diligence for business opportunities, partnerships, acquisitions, restructuring, and commercial arrangements.
  • Prepare legal notices, official correspondence, undertakings, declarations, and other legal documentation.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations and advise management on their potential impact on business operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, legal documents, licenses, compliance files, and ongoing legal matters.
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and Business Unit Heads to provide practical and timely legal support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification. A Master’s degree in Law (LLM) is an advantage.
  • 5–8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably with exposure to corporate, commercial, employment, hospitality, travel, retail, or general business law.
  • Strong experience in contract drafting, negotiation, legal advisory, and risk management.
  • Good knowledge of corporate governance, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with external legal consultants, government authorities, and regulatory bodies.
