Role Overview
The Lecturer will work in the Foundation Program Department of Mathematics at Qatar University.
The role includes teaching foundation and post-foundation Mathematics courses during university working hours and on assigned campuses.
Responsibilities
- Teach foundation and post-foundation Mathematics courses in accordance with Qatar University regulations.
- Use innovative approaches to develop students' Mathematics skills and effective study practices.
- Facilitate learner-centered and culturally appropriate classroom discussions.
- Maintain professional relationships with students and demonstrate cultural awareness.
- Collaborate on curriculum development, program delivery, and teaching methodology.
- Contribute to assigned department, Foundation Program, and university committees.
- Participate in professional development and apply new learning in teaching and student support.
- Work with the department head and Mathematics course coordinators on assigned duties.
- Adhere to Qatar University policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- A master's degree in Mathematics or a related specialization where Mathematics is a major part of the study is required.
- A PhD degree from a distinguished university is preferred.
