About the Role

  • Assess the extent of examination for recognition of military qualification for conversion or validation of foreign flight crew licences and ratings.
  • Direct, maintain, and develop examination of applicants for flight crew licences and ratings.
  • Prepare and review detailed examination curricula and conditions.
  • Prepare flight crew examination question papers and mark answer sheets.
  • Conduct routine and non routine inspections and surveillance audits of approved organizations.
  • Review, amend, and revise regulatory publications and technical procedures manuals.
  • Responsible for oversight and enforcement processes and functions.
  • Ensure operators fully establish root cause of all submitted Mandatory Occurrence Reports (MOR).
  • Participate in development, evaluation, and revision of regulations and guidance material.
  • Evaluate applications for approval of training organizations and aircraft flight simulators.
  • Evaluate ground training curricular/manuals and study material.
  • Prepare, review, and arrange for publication of information circulars and educational material.

Experience

  • Professional Higher Education or equivalent experience.
  • Hold or held a professional aviation license or a university degree in physical science or aviation related area.
  • Minimum of 5 years' aviation experience including teaching.
  • Conversant in auditing and inspection techniques in flight crew licensing is an advantage.
  • Preferably passed ATPL (A/H) theory examinations.
  • Experience in development, implementation, and auditing procedures.
  • Interviewing communication skills in a multi cultural environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant Qatar aviation regulations (on aircrew licensing).
  • Working knowledge of ICAO Annexes and Documents, and EASA and FAA regulatory systems.
  • Preferably with demonstrated experience in a regulatory environment.
  • Appropriate skill levels and experience in SMS, risk assessment, and project management.
  • Good judgment and decision making skills.
