The Learning and Development Officer supports the design, development, and delivery of high-quality learning programs aligned with organizational mission and strategic objectives.
The role contributes to creating impactful educational experiences that promote dialogue, coexistence, and cultural understanding through structured learning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of learning and development programs aligned with organizational strategy and objectives.
- Assist in designing training materials, workshops, and educational curricula tailored to diverse audiences.
- Contribute to identifying learning priorities based on strategic themes, global trends, and organizational needs.
- Ensure consistency and quality in learning content by supporting academic and professional standards.
- Coordinate the integration of research, dialogue, and practical experiences into learning programs.
- Liaise with internal teams and external partners to support the delivery of learning initiatives.
- Support the establishment and maintenance of partnerships with academic institutions, cultural organizations, and subject matter experts.
- Assist in monitoring program effectiveness, collecting feedback, and evaluating learning outcomes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of learning programs through data analysis and participant feedback.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for learning activities, workshops, and events.
- Prepare and maintain weekly reports and updates, ensuring accurate tracking of progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Follow up on project timelines and deliverables across multiple initiatives to ensure alignment with planned milestones.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, including preparing agendas and documenting detailed minutes.
General Responsibilities
- Carry out any other duties and responsibilities related to the role as requested by the direct manager.
- Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and control.
- Demonstrate adherence to organizational values and ethics at all times.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Take an active role in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives.
- Adhere to occupational safety and health policies, regulations, and standards.
- Report any incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions and support investigations when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Humanities, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 1–2 years of experience in learning and development, training coordination, or educational program support.
- Experience in cultural, academic, or non-profit environments is an advantage.
- Background in project management or exposure to project coordination methodologies is preferred.

- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Ability to support curriculum development and instructional design
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret feedback and improve programs
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity to multicultural environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and learning management systems is a plus
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and presentation design
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data tracking, reporting)
- Design and illustration skills are an added advantage
